Symptoms of Acute Myeloid Leukemia
Acute myeloid leukemia (AML), also known as acute myelogenous leukemia (AL), is a grave blood cancer that affects the bone marrow. With AML, the bone marrow produces abnormal blood cells. These abnormal cells grow uncontrollably, crowding out healthy blood cells. This can lead to a variety of severe symptoms, which may vary from person to person.
